Frequently Asked Questions
Renting a dumpster should be simple. Here are the most common questions customers ask before booking a dumpster with Gofer Dumpster Rental.
Dumpster Rental Basics
How does renting a dumpster work?
It’s easy. Call, text, or request a quote online. We help you choose the right dumpster size, schedule delivery, place the dumpster where you need it, and pick it up when your project is done.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
Gofer Dumpster Rental offers 20-yard, 30-yard, and 40-yard dumpsters. These sizes work well for everything from home cleanouts and remodels to roofing, construction, and commercial cleanup jobs.
Which dumpster size do I need?
A 20-yard dumpster is great for smaller cleanouts, roofing, and remodels. A 30-yard dumpster is a strong choice for larger home projects and construction debris. A 40-yard dumpster is best for major cleanouts, commercial jobs, and large construction projects.
Do I need to be there for delivery?
Not always. As long as we have clear placement instructions and access to the drop-off area, we can usually deliver the dumpster without you being there.
Where should the dumpster be placed?
Most customers place the dumpster in a driveway, parking area, job site, or another flat and accessible location. Make sure the area is clear of vehicles, low branches, and overhead wires.
Pricing & Scheduling
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Pricing depends on the dumpster size, location, type of debris, weight, and rental period. Gofer focuses on upfront, transparent pricing so you know what to expect before delivery.
Are there hidden fees?
No. We believe in clear, upfront pricing. If there are possible extra charges, such as overweight loads or restricted materials, we will explain those before your rental.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Rental periods can vary based on your project. Whether you need it for a short cleanup or a longer job, call us and we’ll help schedule the best option.
Can I schedule same-day or emergency service?
Availability can change by day and location. If you need a dumpster quickly, call us and we’ll do our best to help get your project moving.
How do I schedule pickup?
When you are finished loading the dumpster, contact Gofer and we’ll schedule pickup. We return promptly, haul it away, and handle the disposal process.
What You Can Load
What can I put in a dumpster?
Common items include household junk, furniture, remodel debris, roofing materials, construction waste, yard cleanup debris, and general cleanup materials.
Can I throw away construction debris?
Yes. Gofer dumpsters are a great fit for construction debris, remodeling waste, job site cleanup, deck removals, flooring, drywall, and similar project materials.
Can I use a dumpster for roofing shingles?
Yes, roofing debris is one of the common uses for a dumpster rental. Let us know it is for roofing so we can help you choose the right size and weight allowance.
